Woven from Friendship, Tradition, and Time

Lulu Rugs was born from the shared journey of two young Tibetan men who set out to explore the Western world in their early twenties. What began as a friendship rooted in culture and craftsmanship evolved, decades later, into a partnership built on trust, experience, and a deep love for beautiful, hand-woven art.

Between them, they bring over 60 years of experience — one mastering the carpet industry for 37 years, and the other honing his craft in floor coverings for 25 years. When the world slowed down during COVID, their vision came to life: to create a company that connects designers, architects, and homeowners with authentic hand-crafted rugs made to stand

the test of time.

At Lulu Rugs, every piece begins with hand-spun thread and ends with hand-cut detailing, honoring traditions passed down through generations. Each rug tells a story — from the artisans who weave it to the families who gather upon it — growing in character and value as it ages.
